Healthy Living Niagara sponsors workplace awards each year.
These Workplace Awards recognize companies in Niagara who demonstrate
outstanding levels of commitment to their employees' health. Workplaces
across Niagara can apply for a prestigious Workplace Award every year, by
promoting Healthy Eating, Physical Activity, Tobacco (Smoke)-Free Living,
Mental Health and Organizational Culture. Workplaces that sell tobacco
products within their workplaces are unable to receive Workplace Awards.

Did you know that walking is the #1 activity for Canadians? Yet, not all
communities are designed for walking. We know that it can be hard to walk to
work, to shop or to visit friends because things are so far apart. Towns,
cities and rural hamlets do not always design streets and sidewalks to make
it easy for people to walk. We also know that communities can do many simple
things to support walking.
This site will provide you with tips and tools to make your community
more walkable. |
